What Is The Chemical Peels?
Chemical peels are a popular and widely recommended skin treatment. They can be used alone or as an additional procedure. This treatment involves applying a customized chemical solution to the skin, which causes the top layer to gradually peel away, revealing new, smoother skin underneath. Consulting with a cosmetic dermatologist, like those at Skin Vanity MediSpa, ensures that factors such as your skin type, past skin treatments, overall skin condition, and aesthetic goals are considered. This helps determine the best chemical peel to suit your specific needs.

What Are The Different Types Of Chemical Peels Available?
Skin Vanity MediSpa. offers three types of chemical peels and will determine the best one for your skin after performing a detailed physical evaluation. A brief description of each follows.
SUPERFICIAL PEELS: A mild chemical peel may include alpha hydroxy acid that gently removes the outermost damaged layer of skin. Rough skin can be beautifully softened and discoloration can be reversed.
MEDIUM PEELS: Glycol or trichloroacetic acids are used during a medium peel to remove the outermost layers of skin as well as slightly deeper layers. A medium chemical peel is perfect for addressing freckles, age spots, acne scars, sun damage, aging and poor skin tone.
DEEP PEELS: A deep chemical peel makes use of trichloroacetic acid or phenol to remove the damaged layers of skin that muddy the complexion. A deep peel can do wonders for improving the appearance of facial scarring, as well as wrinkles, folds, creases, fine lines and furrows.
